On-Site Diagnostic Laboratory
Chaparral Veterinary Center is proud to offer an on-site laboratory where we perform blood chemistry panels & hematology panels, microscopic cytology, microscopic fecal examinations, and an array of other important diagnostic tests, if needed, for our equine patients.
Equine Coggins Laboratory
In addition, our center has its own Equine Infectious Anemia USDA-Certified Coggins Laboratory. Our three Coggins-certified doctors perform all testing in-house, which means rapid turnaround time for results.
Other Advanced Equine Technology
We offer performance floats that aid in both horse health and performance using full–mouth speculums and motorized dental tools.
Our ultrasound technology aids in the evaluation of tendons and muscles. Ultrasound is also preferred for viewing the reproductive tract of broodmares, in determining when to artificially inseminate mares, and for early pregnancy detection.
